Nice afternoon/early evening hike. We modified and went over to Shafer Butte, then down Tempest back to the parking lot. Ended up on some service roads for the last bit. Overall nice - the first part is through the trees, then you get a nice up-top view and we ended up with a great view along the back for the way down.

Deer Point trail turned into Around the Mountain 9.8 miles. Well worth the 360 degree views around Bogus.

Great hike. Shady parts as well as full exposure. Great views and a few water sources.

Nice trail that climbs up towards the top of Shafer Butte. Combine it with Cabin Traverse, Tempest, and Sunshine for a nice loop around Bogus.
