Corral Creek is a 6.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Hailey, Idaho that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
I came here with my 10 year yellow lab and a friend’s daschund and we all had a great time. Yes, there were frequent stops to break off the trail for oncoming bikers, but that’s the name of the game when sharing trails. At the end of the hike, we decided to bushwhack a bit through some brush towards the creek and did some creek crossings as we slowly and patiently found our way back to a different trail and then back to the car. Total hike time was from about 11-2.
Enjoyed the mix of tree coverage and open field. Dispersed campgrounds at end of hike where we sat by the creek for lunch before heading back. Creek at trailhead is a good spot for dogs to cool off before or after a hike.
Started this hike around 7:30 in the morning, and barely saw any other people. It was beautiful with lots of trees and a beautiful view of the creek.
