I checked this trail out in February, but the gate was locked. I checked it again today, in April, and it is still locked, so I am not entirely sure what is going on here. Perhaps it is closed seasonally. There appears to be a very neat parking and camping area for RVs. The walk along the Spokane River looks lovely from a distance. I will check back again in a couple of months, and see if there is any change in the status of the front gate. One could technically, park down the road, and stroll along the river.
