Travel on Battle Creek Road then turn south on the gas pipeline road and then on to the Monasterio Ranch. After continue over the hill to the Twin Bridges on Battle Creek. About a mile from the bridge, the road was covered with water in places and was muddy and rocky. No problem, except mud mess. The water was due to the snow melt and the recent rain. Some areas got a lot of rain, some none. Continuing on towards the Battle Creek Ruins you will encounter an even worse section of road about two miles of rock. Even by Owyhee back country road standards of being bad or worse, this one was off the charts. It was not dangerous, except to your vehicles health and your driving comfort. Arriving at the Battle Creek Road, there are some ranch horses at the Wickahoney Creek Crossing and you will see antelopes.
