Tried to do this on Sunday, 4/22 and it was closed. Not sure why or for how long but may be best to call the nearby mini golf course to see if it’s open!

A walk through beautiful forest and farm land to arrive at a scene from Fantasy Island. Garden setting with water flowing over the stone damn. Swimming hole behind the damn, great for a picnic. Very memorable!

Beautiful loop through working farm. Super friendly people working along the way. Very interesting and amazing botanical garden and dam. We loved it despite the rain.

Beautiful walk through a working farm on private property. The majority of the farm is planted with a special type of mahogany, I think the guy in the store said that there are 86,000 of them on the property. The trail is free but is maintained from donations, which you can put in the jar in the store where you sign the required waiver form. A pleasant, easy walk to an old picturesque stone dam. Mostly along a flat gravel road thru a mahogany forest. The most picturesque part is the very end. Totally worth the 5 mile round trip walk, which can be done in an hour and a half. Turn left at the first fork (trail sign will point to the right) to go directly towards the dam if you want shorten the total walk (maps along this well marked trail show the way). Recommend for repeat walks.

Awesome hike even though it rained for half is the time. lots of interesting tidbits on trees and amazing fields of Mahogany trees. The views at the Dam and the colours were well worth getting wet and muddy. All six of us (two were our grandkids 11 and 9) enjoyed the afternoon. it is everything that is advertised.

This is barely a hike and very touristy- which isn’t a bad thing- it’s more of a walk per say- it takes you along the farm lands- and is well marked. But the end is really breathtaking- the stone damn is really pretty and you can jump off into the stream from a rope swing.

Pleasant walk. Just a heads up: when there have been heavy rains likely there will be a “brown water” alert and swimming at the dam is discouraged.

Hiking now, breathtaking views including a horse ranch, the swing to jump into the river, a Buddha and the most beautiful Mountain Views!

This would be a good trail to do when it is overcast or rainy. There is no shade so it was hot!

This is a beautifully planned trail. A great choice for a day of rest between harder hikes. Lovely scenes, different at every turn with some fun surprises. Waterfall/dam area very cool, manicured garden, gorgeous flowers. Different than all of the other trails. Relax and enjoy. You must sign in at the mini golf. Charming guy works there, great info.

This is a long, flat well-marked hike that ends at a paradise playground. There is a swimming hole with rope swings at the end, a great way to cool down. Need good shoes as it was a little muddy in the trail. Great hike with kids (if you have time).

This trail does NOT have a 1,200 for elevation gain. It's more like 200 feet. The entire trail is basically flat and easy to do. It goes through a beautiful mahogany tree farm and is shaded for a good portion on the time. There are also beautiful views of the distant mountains. The stone dam and small park at the end of the trek is also quite beautiful. Take water as the parts of the hike not in forest are sunny, exposed and hot.

Best to take bikes on this easy trail. You won't miss anything by biking. It's mostly dirt road. Half sun, half shade during mid day. Not as much natural vegetation. The trees are all obviously planted in rows. The trail weaves through private properties. I wouldn't make this a priority trail if you love the natural beauty of Kauai. Great for a bike trail and some miniature golf at the trail head.
