Not a hike, to be honest - the Maui's road to Hana had a better lava tube. It's not as interesting it would seem at all. Definitely, don't go there just for the lava tube.

Crowded but neat. Lights were out much of the way. Bring headlamp or flashlight. Phone flashlight works fine. It's short and shouldn't use too much juice

You get to walk through a lava tube! How freakin' cool is that? Short, not as crowded as normal - the lights are out and most don't bring headlamps. It was short and cool. Literally, the temp drops by at least 10 degrees in there...
