Nice short hike to the Hawaiian petroglyph sanctuary spot. Entrance is a bit tricky to find, just park at the beach and head back inland, you will see the trailhead on the left side where the parking lot ends. It starts as a paved trail but pavement ends when you enter the burn forest. Recommended for kids.

Nice shaded walk. The petroglyphs are interesting and the scenery is nice.

Super easy and fun! The lava rock is a little rough on the ankles, so wear good shoes, but it is mostly flat.

Clearly marked trailhead at the end of the parking area. Family thoroughly enjoyed the hike to the Petroglyph Field as well as the Petroglyphs themselves. Go earlier in the day to avoid the heat and for best viewing. Make sure to continue beyond the paved path through the woods and the Lava field beyond. Very cool payoff at the end!
