awesome beach. the children love it here. there are two different pools that were created for children. larger one had fish inside for snorkling and other is more for small infant and toddler. there after crabs in the rocks that kids Chase. there is a huge playground across the way that's still in the general area. kids love it and there is lots of shade on playground side. there is also a historical village remains and please kapu(keep out)!!! you can walk around it but show respect. certain areas are closed off!! it leads to the canoe entrance and wailue River. there is a page trail to follow if you have a stroller. also there is calling in the beach of you follow the sidewalk.

Just walk on the sidewalk as far south as you can from The parking lot. It’s only about a mile to mile and a half.

This walk is right along the coast and is great for an evening stroll.

A very flat paved trail along the coast, you can also dip off and walk along the shore, that's what we did. Great trail for children or anyone with trouble walking.

This is a great hike to do early before it gets too hot. Be sure to bring a bathing suit because the swimming is excellent. Snorkel gear optional- you can see many types of fish just swimming or wading into 2 feet of water in the right side of the protected swimming zone.
Don't miss the wooden play structure with the fun mosaics. There are great picnic tables, campsites with BBQ grills and clean bathrooms.
Also, don't miss the petroglyphs and sacred sites on the north side by the Wailua river. There are a few plaques that describe the history, though some are faded.
I took many photos and uploaded them on the recorded hike. Enjoy the views and go for a swim!

Nice walk. You have the option of walking the dirt trail, walking on the beach, or both. There is a playground, built by the local residents, for the kids to play in. It's worth a quick visit if you are in Kauai. Your kids will like it.
