Directions from Honolulu: Take the Pali Highway, turn right on Nuunau Pali Drive until you reach a concrete bridge. Immediately to your right is an open area in the ironwood trees. This is the trailhead for Judd Trail. Park along the road at the trailhead. Caution - this is a high theft area. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.

Had to do a semi intense stream crossing right after the trailhead, and some of the steeper sections of trail were a bit washed out. Glad I wore swim trunks. Very pretty hike that goes thru Dr seussy forest and bamboo forest, and the waterfall is cool but accessible from the other side so you finish the hike surrounded by other tourists.

Down to Manoa valley (only down, unlike the height profile suggests) it can be very muddy, but overall a nice hike. Was easy to follow the path, I don’t understand the complaints some others made. At the top, first turn left, then turn right. Can be combined with Manoa valley for a shorter one-way hike.

Too hard to find the trail markers. A little creepy. Kids pants and underwear hanging on a stick at the entrance had me a little unnerved. Ended up giving up and going up to Pali lookout instead.

Amazing hike to the falls. Did it in the drizzle and if your not afraid of getting muddy ...sweet. You feel accomplished at the end but when you get there it’s super populated. Bring a sandwich.

It’s a nice trail to start, I turned back because it was extremely wet. Nuuanu is generally a wet area. But as you approach the ascent up the ridge on the Nuuanu leg it’s a pretty steep bamboo forest which was very muddy and slick. I don’t see how this trail is an easy trail. Should be moderate. Try to go when dry.

Tough time navigating as the trail was poorly marked. Missed the pool altogether. Will have to give it another shot soon!

So this is a fun trail that is quite muddy and longer than stated above. We finished at 8.22 miles from Nuuanu Pali road to the falls and back.

It was a nice hike through the jungle/woods, but the signage wasn't very good and I think we just made a short loop and missed quite a bit of this trail.

This hike is really pretty! It goes from jungle to a forest! The hike wasn't all that muddy and only had a few steep areas. There are so many ways to get to the pond but you'll find it pretty easily. I love this hike!

Done just the circle for about 1.5 miles. Quite delusional, an ordinary walk in a narrow trail among trees and mud. No scenery, nothing special to report.

Pretty nice and easy hike, want to do it again!

New to hiking, it was a short smile hike to the Jack ass ginger pool. Walked the loop on the way back. Nice scenery and shade.

This trail was alright. Super short but it connects up with the really cool jackass ginger swimming hole. If that's your thing.

Hike was cool but nothing special at the end just a big pond

I dont get this hike. Poor signage. I entered off the old Pali Rd where it says Judd trail. Took some obvious trails, crossed rocks & streams a few time, even found the Jackass pool thing, I think. I seen apts on that side. But these trails didnt seem to really take me anywhere far out. How did that one person get a view of Honolulu?? Where do you get 9.7 miles outa this?

Beautiful falls at the beginning. Cross over the river was a surprise! Rock hopping is a little scary but rewarding when you make it across we also took the off shoot trail (can't remember the name) which was challenging and rewarding with a nice view of Honolulu, the valley and ocean.
