Hanalei River Kayak is a 12.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Hanalei, Hawaii that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, birding, and sea kayaking and is accessible year-round.
Leisurely kayak up the Hanalei River into the National Wildlife Preserve of Hanalei. Relatively easy kayak up the still waters of the Hanalei River. Pass under one of the many one lane bridges of the Prince Kuhio highway 56.
This is a great way to spend an afternoon and get a little exercise in a pretty place. It would be a good family activity as well. There are really no good spots to beach the kayak and take a break so you are pretty much in the boat from beginning until end unless you paddle out toward the bay.
