Pretty views! Walked at 7 am not many people on the beach and spotted a sea turtle.

Paia town is a voyage. The trail to the beach starts in town and ventures along the bike/walk path. Once at the beach, caution is a good ingredient since it was a family hike as there are some "adult areas" (like other reviews mentioned).

Also, be prepared for cooler waters and higher surf than the South side.

This is a good easy walk for everyone at all levels. Half of it is next to the ocean and half of it is paved running next to the highway. Just a word for families that you will go past a few hundred yards of beach that is secluded and used as a nudist beach. Other that that, it is a great 40 minute walk/hike
