Trail has 4 stars, App gets ZERO stars for the trail map and directions! BEWARE this is NOT intended to be a loop trail and as noted in the reviews the section along the creek is marked closed at the starting end but not on the trail. This is probably because it is not intended to be approached from that direction. However, the trail just keeps getting more narrow and a difficult traverse across rocky ledges that is simply not easy. In wet conditions it would be downright dangerous! Furthermore, the little blue maps on the trail do not show a loop, there is no trail between V 13 and V 3 but the app does show a loop in this location. See photos that I posted. All that said it is a beautiful spot and if you avoid the area I mentioned it actually is easy.

We did this trail with a 6 year old and were very happy with the trail, location, falls, and nature. Great trail for an easy trek and beer manageable for youngsters.

It was mine and my sons first time hiking. He’s 8 and I’m 39 and 350 pounds. We enjoyed it and will do it again. We did miss a turn and ended up in a closed part of the trail and had to climb rocks. That part was hard but still an adventure!!

This is a relatively easy trail, but the section along the creek is technical with narrow rock ledges and drop offs to ok the creek. Would be treacherous if the ground is wet. The creekside trail is marked closed on the end near the parking area on Riverside Rd but not from the end near theRoswell Mill. Don’t do this section if you’re not sure footed. This loop should probably be rated as moderate, not easy due to the section along the creek. You can walk from the trail to historic Roswell. It’s about a half mile across the bridge and uphill the whole way. Lunch at the Mill Restaurant and Bar is a nice mid-hike stop.
