Nice little trail try that provides an enjoyable climb and a beautiful mountain lookout at the top.

Went during a weekday and it was vacant. There is only a view from the top, but the climate made it feel rather cool throughout the hike. Many wildflowers are in bloom on the trail and that was the highlight to me.

I loved this trail. The views were probably the best of any hike I’ve been on thus far. I will say, the path can definitely be pretty narrow at certain points, and it makes it a little treacherous when it’s muddy (which it was when we went). Just be prepared for that and wear some good shoes. Also, as someone new to hiking, I would rate this trail as moderate to moderate-difficult. Just as an FYI to any other beginners.

Great trail. Great view even on a cloudy, rainy afternoon. Trail not a bad as I was expecting.

So. Fun. It’s easily one of my favorites!! can be muddy and trail can be washed out in some spots after heavy rain. Pro Tip: Go to the right when you reach the fork of the trail. The incline is more gradual and the view is at the end! Go left and the incline is way more, but the pay off is immediate. And you have a gradual and easy walk back. Or you can turn around and go back the way you came for a short hike.

Took advice of another review and went clockwise. The trail was beautiful. Great incline on the way up. Stairs , roots , rocks and trees to make it adventurous, must for kids! The view was spectacular and the walk down soothing. This was one of our favorites.

This was a great hike but definitely wouldn't rate it as "easy". little narrow in spots so passing people can be a bit challenging at times but overall totally worth the effort. especially when you see the views from the top.

Went at 9:30am and was nice and cool, lots of greenery. If want to cheat and quickly get to peak, start the trail clockwise. Wouldn’t go too early or late or fog might block the Mountain View.

Nice trail... maintained quite well. Good and unrelenting climb to the summit which was a nice place to stop and have a quick snack. The overlook that is just past the marking has incredible panoramic views north. Well worth the climb! All in all it wasn't a bad trail. It's a Georgia State Park so there's a $5 parking fee. When we were done with the trail, we drove less than a mile more into the park to the overlook that gave you the south view. Don't miss that!

Well marked trail with beautiful overlook. The sign at the trail says it’s 2.2 miles, but my Garmin measured it slightly longer at 2.6.

We started counterclockwise. This allows the payoff vista to come closer to the end of the journey. I would go clockwise and turnaround at either the overlook or summit if I had kids.

Great trail. The loop as designed saved the great views for the hike back and steepest trail for the descent. It was beautiful.

The trail was beautiful! The overlook near the summit was breathtaking! The extravagant view of all the surrounding mountains was super cool! The trail was decent in difficulty. I absolutely recommend it for anyone who is ready to take on an amazing view!

Awesome trail. Got some great views on the ridge line and then some great forest and plant biodiversity on the return loop. Definitely recommend taking the ridge side of the loop first, much less steep sections going up. Make sure to check out the lake in the park too!

Moderately difficult trail with a great view at the top. There is a parking fee. Only reason I give four stars instead of five is because it can get pretty busy. Come early if you want to avoid crowds. Trails are mostly single track and rocky in some places. Watch for exposed roots. The trail is a loop; if you start by following the path to the right you’ll have a long steady climb to the top and then a steep descent down.

Hiked Tennessee Rock Trail in late May. Started at parking lot. Parking is good. Trail condition is good. Fairly steep up if you take the trail clockwise. Its the view that I found slightly disappointing. We had a nice fog that lingered in the valley which is cool, but still, the view is not worth a trip to Black Rock SP.

Parked at the Black Rock Mountain Overlook since the Tennessee Rock and James Edmond parking was full. From Black Rock Mountain Overlook walked on the road to the trail, started on the trail about .3 miles from Tennessee Rock Overlook. Trail is easily accessible from the road, well marked and has nice views.
