Love this spot, great for chilling in the hammock. The ruins from the old paper mill are very neat as well and most of all it’s hardly ever crowded!

The route that is calculated isn’t very user friendly. I got turned around a few times and ended up walking through an overgrown section of the trail for about 1/4 mile. Sope Creek is great though! A few of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation trails are set up where you can go on side trails and then eventually connect back to the main trail. I wish they would adopt a better trail marking system versus the route markers at junctions. I don’t like any of them at any of the Chattahoochee River trails lol. They need to mimic what Kennesaw Mountain does with their trail system and trail mapping as it’s one of the best in the Atlanta area. I will definitely come back to this trail and hike it again though!

Went out on the bike. Admit it’s been a while, but this was not “easy” on a bike as it was classified. I’d consider it more medium/hard. With that said, it was an awesome trail. I went a route different from what was listed in the trail app. Think that is a hiking map and several areas are marked no bikes. I was there at 10 am and it was almost full shade.

Did the hike in the morning, this trail is quite popular with dog owners bringing their dogs. I met at least 6-7 of them. Completed the 3.5 miles with several adjustments as some of the trails are not marked and had to follow what was obvious. Strange I did not even notice the ruin. Part of the trail towards the last part was closed to public. Overall good hike !

Very nice trail. It would be nice if people would Carry their dog poop bags out of the park! Pretty ridiculous that people are so lazy they can't carry their dogs poop out! I would of given this park a 5 if it wasn't for that. So all of you that didn't take your dogs poop out, it's your fault I didn't give this great park a 5. Think of others that come visit this park after you! SHAME ON YOU ALL!

Great for dogs and children

Pretty nice trail but not marked well given the frequent intersections with other trails. Also, part of this trail was closed due to maintenance so I ended up following the blue blaze. The mill ruins are awesome though right on the river.

First time here. Lots of interconnecting trails. 3 mile run turned into closer to 6. really enjoyed it especially areas further away from the road and I couldn't really hear any traffic. I ended up heading South toward the Cochran Shoals and there's a large pine down on the bike trail just a heads up
