Sope Creek Loop from Paper Mill Road is a 2.9 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Marietta, Georgia that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, nature trips, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area charges a fee to enter. Fees are per vehicle. You can also purchase a park-specific annual pass. Please check with the park for current rates.
April 11, 2021An amazing and unexpected trail! Most ruin trails have only one building and a fence around them. This one has ruins sprinkled throughout that are almost untouched. A great hike with lots of cuts to customize your trail!

March 14, 2021Nice trails. Went down to old paper mill ruins. There also is a nice pond. Completed 5.75 miles. Mostly in woods- make sure to follow the signs for daily directions (opposite of bikes) as this can get dangerous.

January 31, 2021I tried to follow Chandler’s trail and epic fail. I got lost six times. Dead ended at an apartment complex. Slipped in red dirt. Ended up in the Chattahoochee Forest Trail. Exited Sope Farm Creek subdivision and Google mapped on concrete back to my car lol
