I love how natural the trails are! This is what we've been looking for. We hiked the loop trail, plus a few spurs.

At the southeast corner of the loop (right after the bridge if you're going clockwise), there's a spur trail to the creek. Very pretty and serene, plus some logs crossing back and forth. They are sturdy and strong, so I like to cross back and forth on them—great for working on your balance! Also an ideal spot for little ones to splash around a bit.

The views along the river are lovely, and well worth the hike. But watch the blazes! (If you're going clockwise, follow red.) Not all intersections are clearly marked, and some of our diversions were NOT intentional! :) But the area near the river is well marked in both directions.
