As some have pointed out this is not a "hiking" trail, but it is one of the top trails for walking along the Chattahoochee. There is not a better trail with better long range views of the hooch, overlooks of wetlands, etc. probably one of the best locations along the hooch for bird watching and wildflower viewing. do yourself a favor and plan to stop in to the Chattahoochee Nature Center if you are looking for some "hiking" or add in Vickery Creek which has 5+ miles of "hiking" also recommend going all the way to the end of the trail for some fantastic views along the boardwalk. Future plans will connect this to Lower Roswell to allow users to reach Gold Branch letting you hike Vickery Creek to Gold Branch and probably put a good 10 to 15 miles of hiking between the two without ever getting in a car. A bonus for families is multiple playgrounds along the route, as well as bathrooms. Can easily extend this into an all day excursion with multiple hikes, playground stops, nature center trip, followed with a short drive (or walk along a trail) to Historic Roswell dining near the square or Canton Street.

If you’re looking for a trail hike, this is not it at all. It’s a concrete and boardwalk path, mostly next to a roadway.

Wow what a pleasant ride. Went here for a cardio workout/stretch the legs after an intense MTB ride. Really wasn’t expecting much, so I only started recording halfway through. Really I went out and back from where it says I finished. Really nice. Just be considerate of pedestrians, don’t go too quick. Lots of neat sculptures along the way, a very nice path, and lovely views. Will be back!

This is not a hike, but a walking path. Ton of bikers and very crowded. The pictures are from a very small part of trail and the rest and next to a busy loud road.

Wonderful all around!

This is more of a paved trail next to the road that an actual wooded trail. It is wide and safe and somewhat scenic. It wasn’t too crowded for a Wednesday morning. And I would possibly do it again.

The Riverwalk is a very scenic and peaceful place. We enjoyed walking our dog on a leash and letting our son ride his scooter.

The NEW boardwalk extension will open by Halloween 2018, at the latest. This entire trail system provides the most stunning panorama views on the banks of the Chattahoochee. Trails are broad so bikers, skaters, runners and walkers do not interfere with each other. It can be used ALL year seasons EXCEPT when the heavy rainfalls flood part of the trails especially unter the Roswell Road bridge. This is the most excellent training area for everyone who challenges a half marathon or even marathon. Walking this trail NEVER gets boring, every day and weather provides a different views of the nature there. Home to grey and white herons, to wild geese and ducks, different kind of fishes. The City of Roswell did a truly great job for the people by building this unique trail system, much appreciated!

Good little flat trail. Take time and enjoy the surroundings: trees, birds. the river, people sculling. They are extending it for about another 1.5 miles. It will be even better. People walking, running, biking, skating, fishing, dog walking, baby walking. You have to pick the right time. Busier on weekends.
