Awesome 3 mile hike to the top of Ramrock. Super easy until the last quarter mile or so when it got pretty steep up a flight of natural steps - four kids aged 7-11 made it with no problem (standard complaining aside). The view at top made it all worth it. The last 3/10 of a mile or so starts to take you down the other side, not really worth it IMO. It is very rocky and narrow in parts, so boots or heavy soled sneakers are suggested,

Great hike for the whole family. Nice and shady with gentle slopes (except for very short natural stairs near the end). Lovely little lookout too.

a real easy trail to a nice small scenic spot but here at woody gap the big cedar trail is right across the street. so you can make both trails into a loop. since big cedar is the nicer trail with some great scenic spot do this trail first. this really makes for a awesome hike even when i did it on a cool crisp morning in January.

Best trail we've hiked while in the area this week. Feel like it's more moderate in parts than easy, especially compared with other "easy" and "moderate" trails in the area. Top of Ramrock Mtn views were fantastic, and not a lot of traffic on the trail. Couple campers up top. Great vistas along the way as well. Will return.

Easy out and back trail. Right now some trees are bare while some still have color, so it’s cool to be able to see through the trees to what’s below. Trail was easy to follow despite the amount of leaves on the ground.

Definitely a beautiful trail with breathtaking overlooks. The trail starts out easy but quickly jumps to moderate at the end. Wear sturdy shoes and stay hydrated my friends. Happy trails.

super cool trail, but I don't know who in Sam Hell decided to call this an easy trail! definitely without a doubt a moderate trail for sure.

this trail was my first introduction to the AT! The trail was great with amazing views but it started raining on us and the fog was thick. I absolutely loved it

nice in-and-out trail, very rocky at parts so be sure to wear thick soled shoes, lightly traveled, good views about 45 minutes in, a couple somewhat steep inclines and declines as people have previously shared

Super easy hike for a first mile or so then then it gets moderately hard for the last half mile or so. Day was super clear and we could see Atlanta skyline.

Easy hike for the first mile. Gets easy/moderate on the back end near Ramrock. A few switchbacks at that point. And really, it’s the best part of the hike. The views are OK until that point. Then you get up and can see the entire valley down below.

Great little hike. Most of it is easy but about 1/4 mile is uphill. Nice camping spots along the trail!

Been a few times now. Little bit of something for everyone. First 3/4 mile gentle easy hike then next 1/4 mile tough uphill for most. Great overlook approximately a mile from woody gap.
