The trail was amazing and the view is worth the hike, but I would definitely not categorize this as an easy trail. We took our 3 boys (8, 6, & 3) and they made it through with some coaching but definitely was steep and narrow in spots!

Beautiful day! I saw a few reviews wondering if the trail was 3.5 total or each way, to clarify for those wondering it is 3.5 each way. Absolutely beautiful and little elevation until the last leg of the hike

I can't wait to try it on a clear day. It was rainy & foggy today. Still a great hike! It was rocky & rooty & muddy but the incline was not bad.

Hiked this from Cooper’s Gap. Would be a great short hike from Woody Gap. The overlook has great views of Dahlonega and beyond. Would love to see on a clear day.

I will try it again when it’s dryer. This trail starts off extremely muddy and narrow. Just too slippery to really enjoy currently. Will try it again this summer.

Nice hike at sunrise and not overly challenging. Snow set in and made the trail a little slick. Pleased with the views and not crowded.

Great little trail. Mostly flat, except for some climbs at the top. I gave it four stars because of the slippery mud on much of the trail.

Parking lot was PACKED and we almost gave up. So glad we didn’t. Quite a lot of runoff the first 1/2 mile or so from the parking area, so we found ourselves stepping from stone to stone to avoid the mud and puddles. The last push to the top of Ramrock was tough but so worth it. Glorious way to start the new year.

Such an easy hike that typically offers great views. It was very foggy and cloudy this time around, but that’s not it’s norm.

we just hikes to the view at Ramrock at about 1.6 miles. Nice views and relatively easy. Trees did not have any leaves, but that gave us more of a view along the trail.
