Decent trail off the interstate. I got there around 8am and the parking lot was halfway full of people getting ready to hit the river. But the trails were pretty barren. There is a nice loop with decent elevation. If you are lucky like I was, you'll get all the way to point 7 and realize you have to turn all the way around because of the huge family of trees that are blocking the path lol. Your heart will thank you. The part that loops by the river is gorgeous. There is a lot of bamboo. I saw lots of chipmunks, no deer.

Nice little trail right off the interstate. Short distance, nice little loop. There is an unmarked trail that veers off and ends out at a street in one of the neighborhoods. If you follow that there's a washout that goes down to old stone walls that have collapsed. Definitely worth a try.

Amazing scenery! You can either up the trail or run on the lower trail close to the river. Great views of the river and far away from the highway that’s it seems so quiet. Perfect for a hammock on the water.

Great for a quick evening hike when you don't have a lot of time but want to maximize your workout. Beautiful scenery, lots of deer, cool breeze from the river. The best part is you can't hear the traffic and this trail is right next to 285.

Great evening hike for two novice hikers. We even found wild strawberries off the P8 point!

It was $5 to enter the trail. With all the free trails out there, I don’t see a purpose in paying $5 to walk less than 2 miles.

Nice little loop trail for a quick hike. A moderate incline in the middle is worth the effort, offering fleeting glimpses of the river through the trees during the seasons when the foliage is minimal.

This was pretty easy. Towards the end, if you climb up the hill where the stone wall is, there are a bunch of old sinks and industrial type items. A mattress spring that serves as a “door.” Just makes you wonder about the fun people have had up there. We crossed the parking lot and hiked the island trail but it’s pretty overgrown and there’s not much to see.

Short, not the best hike along the Chattahoochee NRA but still good enough for a quick less than an hour hike.

This is a nice short trail to hit up when you just want to get outside for a bit. Took less than an hour to get fully around the loop and the incline was a good little workout! After the 8th marker you can go off the loop down a dead end trail where there's a couple cool little spots to step off the trail and sit by the water. Well covered by trees too which was nice on a day where it was 100 degrees out!

Once you venture away from the river, there's not a lot of "features" to visually behold in January, but it's still a lovely walk through nature. The area by the river entrance was popular, but we only passed a few people on the longest loop trail. The loop is quite steep if you take it clockwise, but the walk back down to the entrance is mild. (I wouldn't suggest going counterclockwise unless you are fairly sure footed to safely make it down the steepest sections.)

A nice mostly flat trail going along the river. There is a loop in the north east that has a very steep grade. I couldn't wait to get to the top to see the nice view of the ... back of someone's house. I was hoping for a river view, but instead it just goes up and back down. Too bad.

Not good for hiking, but good kayak takeout point. Powers Island is a great place to put in a boat, and hit the small rapids on the hooch.

This is a very brief hike. When you cross over to the island, be sure to explore it! The trail is not marked or mapped, but there's a good .5 mile or so to walk in a loop around the island. Don't miss out on that. The rest of the trail is almost entirely flat, but there is one really steep climb, depending on which way you go. The descent was very gradual, so if you come up that way it wouldn't be nearly as difficult. I can't recall which way was more difficult, but I'll make note next time I'm out there. I'm giving this trail three stars just because of the overall lack of elevation gain and difficulty.

This was a good and easy hike with great views of the river. However the trail is very narrow with many obstacles (tree trunks) and the signs are barely legible. Definitely need to get some trail maintenance volunteers out here. Not a good hike with a stroller, which I unfortunately had with me.

Wonderful quiet easy loop along the East side of the Chattahoochee. Much quieter than Cochran Shoals on the West side. If you want to add a little elevation gain there is a hilly loop on the East side.
