make sure you have good shoes, the trail has a sharp incline as you approach the road near the top.

Really nice trail with moderate difficulty. The only surprise was the ~1/2 mile section that connects the two major trails in the loop. This section is not a marked trail on the park system map and proved to be very steep and all rock. Doable in hiking boots but I could see it’d he difficult if you did not have slip resistant soled shoes.

I really enjoyed this trail with my 3 dogs. We passed several families, the views were amazing! I definitely want to go back and explore more of the trails. We took the trail off to the right it was less traveled but the ascent this way was so much fun! Much of the trail to the right is easy til you turn at the ascent. The way down is very rocky it was a little challenging with 3 dogs on a leash and all the other people but we still enjoyed it.

This is my favorite trail in the Kennesaw Mountain system. Beautiful views throughout, amazing boulders and rock formations and a good amount of elevation gain. The trail that connects Pigeon Hill to Camp Brumby is located on the right side of the trail past the summit of Little Kennesaw Mountain. There is a bare wooden post marking the intersection and it almost looks like you’re walking down to an overlook. This trail is straight downhill for the first bit and on bald rocks. This can be slick with water or ice. There are several trees down on this portion as well. I believe this section is no longer maintained as it is unmarked and not on any official maps. Proceed with caution. Cool huge boulder on this section. Highly recommend!

We reversed this loop vs how it is set up here; started up Pigeon Hill then turned right onto the flat section before going straight up Little Kennesaw. Trail up the mountain is not marked and a little hard to follow until you get a 1/4 of the way up; stay well right of the big rock. Stopped on top of Little Kennesaw for coffee, as is tradition. Was a nice little workout with a heavy pack. I will probably start looping this twice to prepare for my upcoming AT section hike.

This was a good trail with high elevation. Pay close attention to the app when you get to trail crossings. The trail is not always marked. The downed tree that was mentioned in a previous commitment has been cut.

Very nice and diverse trail for being so short. Transitions from rocky to woodsy.

Very easy section. Broke up the hard parts of the hike from a different trail.

But...you need to turn around at point where you head down to loop back around. At the bottom of steep rocky hillside is a down tree blocking path. Plus the wood post that should have sign is missing its sign (first clue that this path is non functioning). But the trail of rocks is beautiful, magical, and makes you feel childlike.

Some stretches are great but about half of it is too rough of terrain or too steep to run. Very scenic. Much better for hiking.
