This was a great walk. I walked the whole 12.5 miles. This is a great trail that has other small trails near it. Lots of picturesque moments. The whole path was paved and there was plenty of room around. I didn't see lots of people today, but there were some others here. The area was very clean, and there are occasional trash cans so there's no need to litter. There are no bathrooms on the route, so go before you start! It was a beautiful day and I am so glad I was able to get out and enjoy it!
well maintained. not a nature trail. great for people with kids, riding on bicycles. really easy and you can do the whole thing easy. some good views. just too city for me.
Guided hike. Register with the state park office at Panola to take his trail. Beautiful and informative!
Nice trails, mostly paved which I’m personally not the biggest fan of. It was nice to see once, but I think I’d prefer Arabia.
This was an easy Sunday morning family walk. There were a few bikers, walkers, and lots of cute pups on leashes.
It’s a walk, definitely not a hike but never crowded and makes for a nice hike off-weekend stroll.
More of a “walk” than a “Hike.” Kind of a shame that beautiful trail is all concrete.
This trail is not particularly interesting when compared with the mountain trails with waterfalls and other natural features that we prefer to take as a family, but it served as an apt path for a lengthy exercise hike with some rolling hills but no drastic changes in elevation. I imagine the hills might be challenging for some who are new to regular exercise, but for anyone accustomed to hiking unpaved trails in North Georgia, the inclines should be a piece of cake. The path is well-paved, marked, and wide enough to accommodate walkers, runners, bicyclists, strollers and leashed pets. There are benches, overlooks, substantial bridges, and ample signage along the way. We chose to take the path from the Panola Mountain Visitor Center as far as Snapfinger Rd. where we turned around instead of crossing the highway. My tracker logged ten miles almost to the step from the beginning of the hike to the door of my car. We averaged 16:46 miles, with a total moving time of 2:48. Mission accomplished.
