Good intensity. Nice views at several levels. Was very muddy and icy today. Clay was especially slippery.

Great hike with a well marked trail. Lots of traffic so expect company for most of your hike. Several very muddy (stop and knock your boots off) sections.

Great trail for a day and a half trip, we arrived on a Friday evening, set up camp, hiked and enjoyed the scenic views, and camped near the summit for the night again. Great for dogs, and not too difficult for families and elderly.

Great trail for sites to see. The icicles were beautiful, but as far as lightly trafficed... The lot was full with cats parked even along the dirt road in. Must've passed about 30-40 people, mostly groups of people. Guess we just picked a bad weekend in the off season. Still beautiful.

This was a very great hike! Took about 2 hours to get to the top with a couple of stops. About half way up you will come to a view point. It is beautiful, but don’t stop and turn around there. The top is where there views are at! Definitely bring a big water bottle as there are no water fountains along the trail. There is a restroom right before you get to the top, so you are covered there. Once you get to the top you can see for miles; totally worth the climb! I’ve been up Kennesaw Mountain and honestly was not impressed with the views. Definitely recommend going early as more people start to show up around 10am and so on. We started at 8am and didn’t see a single person the whole way up which was very peaceful and relaxing.

This hike is a fairly easy stroll up the mountains. The Rangers train up there so you might get a chance to see some of the troops while you are up there. The view of Georgia from the top is quite nice!

After the hike be sure and visit some of the local wineries to relax! Many are dog friendly!

For an excellent description of the Hike Google Mount Yonah for Atlanta Trails. They give you specific sites with mileage.

Some describe this a hard or moderately strenuous. I concur. From the trailhead you begin to ascend and you continue to ascend except for one small descend after the stone steps.

I’m 69 and I admit it was a challenging Hike but well worth the effort. According to my GPS, I made the climb in a little over 2 hours with numerous short rests.

As usual, the descent took a toll on my hips and knees but not anything I couldn’t cope with.

The day was perfect for hiking with the temperature around 50F.

Be sure to take plenty of water even on cool days and wear a good pair of boots. The trail is rocky. I also recommend a walking stick for balance.

Lovely hiking! There's a bald at the top great for overnight trips. Just follow the green blazes up and enjoy the view!

Great hike, just wish there was a few more markers around the rocky section. Trust your self on this area.

Hiked it today with all the snow. Absolutely awesome. Snow made it a more tough and I was way over dressed for the climb but just right for the decent. Weather changed drastically right when I got to the top so being alone didn’t spend much time and couldn’t see much as visibly was less than 1/4 mile. Will be doing it again.

Good trail with a variety of difficulty. Slept on a hammock at the top, was rather chilly but a good weekend getaway
