Very enjoyable walking either way. Sometimes can catch sight of deer.

HikingGreat!

This is a nice, shady trail with a lot of roots to negotiate as well as a bit of elevation. We were out in the late morning on a Sunday and saw only two pairs of hikers, a lone hiker with her dog, and a small family with their dogs. It was easy enough to maintain social distance by stepping off the trail. Definitely a good walk.

Running

Giving it four stars because it is an excellent loop for training on trails and hills. If running near sunset in the winter, amazing sunset views through the leafless trees. Otherwise, nothing especially scenic or special, though I have scared up deer while running here. Bring a headlamp if running at sunset, as it gets dark quick and there are lots of roots and rocks to keep an eye on.

First to Review

This is a great trail and is usually well maintained. There was a bad storm that went through last week and there are a bunch of trees down currently blocking the path. You can maneuver around them. I know some people like to jog this trail so you may want to wait until it gets cleaned up.
