Long Leaf Pine Trail Loop is a 1.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Thomaston, Georgia that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from January until January. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Sprewell Bluff State Outdoor Recreation Area has done an amazing job blazing and making this trail. This loop follows the Flint River for a little more than half a mile and offers wonderful views of a beautiful bend of the river.

Lots of level hiking by the river then some good incline / decline. Look for “the whistling tree.” :-). A recent controlled burn was done in this area, so a lot of underbrush is cleared.
