This my go-to park, so thank you for keeping it clean. Great for dog walking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, etc. It's a great walk.. Bring pets.

Pretty good considering rain. Some beaches available as lake is not so high at the moment.

Update to my prior review: Went out this Sunday morning at sunrise and walked the entire loop with a trash bag. Picked up almost an entire bag of trash which included mostly food wrappers, empty drink bottles, cans, couple pairs of socks, etc. The vast majority of the trash was on the small beaches that often have campfire areas. I get hanging out there and I really don't care if people want to build a fire, etc. That's between them and the park rangers. But if you are going to use the beaches to hang out at, take your trash with you when you leave. There are trash cans at the trailhead so it is not like you even have to take the trash with you in your car.

The trail loop is very confusing. But once you figure it out it’s a great little walk around the lake on a ridge beautiful views very very scenic Trail.

Easy trail, a lot of trees and beaches. Beautiful. Not many people considering it is a Wednesday.

Trail is completely on a small peninsula and has nice views of the lake on much of the trail. The forest between the path and lake seems intentionally thinned a bit to improve the views. The trail basically follows the outer shoreline with numerous side trails taking you to small sandy beaches. Some side trails lead to nice views with benches. The main path is wide with crushed gravel and very flat with a few very minor, short inclines. The downside is the trail seems like it could be fairly crowded. I went on a Thursday night and even as it was getting dark, the park and trail had a fair number of people. I then visited the next night on a Friday night. It was dark by the end of my hike and raining the whole time and still more people than I would expect. Also, the beaches are clean but you definitely can see remnants of sort of a younger crowd using the beach areas. Campfires, a few discarded cans/bottles, wrappers. Nothing unsightly but it is there. I’m not complaining here. But the park definitely has a lot of visitors because it is such a nice trail/good views and it shows a little. Some reviewers have said the path is not marked very well. However, the crushed gravel path is easy to follow. Also, you can’t get lost since the park is so small. A two minute walk in any direction will cause you to bump into some fellow hikers, a group hanging on a beach, or a parking lot. Had the dog with me both times and it is very good for dogs. Many hikers had dogs with them also. If your dog loves the water, this is a great trail because of the numerous small beach areas.
