BEAUTIFUL, shady, well-maintained trail. Lots of wildlife that seem pretty used to humans. Pretty easy hike. I saw several older people hiking mid-week. Great for dogs on-leash. Yellow trail is a short loop, red trail is the longer loop. Benches available all along trail. Great for running or walking. Not many roots. Will definitely go back. Felt safe.

3 stars on the grand scheme, it’s a great trail, wooded, shaded, some nice views...but it’s short, has stinky outhouses at the half way area, near neighborhoods and residential areas so it loses a couple of cool points. If you’re looking for an easy stroll on a gravel path...this is it, but please get off your cell phone soccer mom and try to enjoy it!

Good nature-filled trail for being located in the suburbs. Gravel and dirt paths with good signage throughout. Creek and pond feature at various points. Able to hear road noise through decent amount of trail. Neighborhood houses visible at parts.

Most recordings don't include this little side trek up the road to Leita's house. There is an interpretive sign there too, a must-see I'd say. Love this place, it was a nice relaxing run in the woods this day!

such a great trail to get a good quick workout in. this place will always be dear to my heart as I used to live just 5 minutes from here. the hills are good ones and in the summer, my dog used to get in the creek and cool off. so many great places for photos too.

Great trail and if you have dogs there is a dog park right by the parking.

Well maintained trail. My only complaint is that the “Take Outs” along the trail are reserved for emergency vehicles only and not hikers. There are no short cuts for hikers as the paved road in the middle is locked at the entrance.

Wide gravel trail with some moderate elevation! Great hike in the middle of suburban neighborhood's!

Good length for a quick workout. A number of hills to get your heart rate up. All woods - would be cool in the summer.

Easy trail by a dog park and memorial gardens. There is a small lake/pond and creek along the trails. Good for trail running and dog and kid friendly. Largely shaded by trees.

Well maintained trail system. There are different options for adjusting the length of the hike/walk/run.

Nice walk. Lots of walkers and dogs, but the trail is wide enough for all. Pond along red/blue is a nice treat... be sure to include the pond loop!

My son and I went, it's a peaceful walk.

Great trail! Very well maintained and several activities to do at the park. The trail is very well shaded and will make for an excellent walk when the temperature sky rockets. For about an hour of exercise that is literally over a river and through the woods, I would highly recommend this trail. Additionally, the story of Ms. Thompson whom the park is named after is a very interesting one.

This is a good Trail for a quick walk or short run (~2.25 miles at full length). There are no exciting views but very family friendly.

This is hands down my favorite trail to walk my dogs on. The only drawback is that they get filthy from the creeks, lake, and gravel trail, but it is totally worth it. Canopy overhead makes summer walking tolerable. Trails zig zag and many hills keep it interesting.

There's a set of two different paths within the larger red, which I always tag right under 2.25 mi. So if you're feeling noncommittal, you have a lot of access points to shorten the workout. The trail is composed of crushed gravel, and being so removes any technical obstacles. However, making up for that, there's a good bit of elevation gain. I run this trail, but I take my kids here to hike.

I like this 2.5 mile loop. It's a good workout for me and the dog. Lots of hills, creeks, and a pond. I can take the dog to the dog park to socialize too. Plenty of parking and different points to access the trail.

Very clean, well-marked trail with lots of up/downs. Path is well-packed gravel and level through most of loop, making it easy on the ankles.
