Legacy Limits is a 1.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Sugar Hill, Georgia that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

I would rate this some moderate course. You really have some unmarked portions of the trails along the lake, and in certain weather you’re probably on your own.

It’s not a maintained trail, not paved, not with pine straw or anything like that. You just sort of have to hope you see where previous people have walked, and there’s an awful lot of logs hidden under pine straw and pinecones and rocks. I really don’t think this is an easy course.

Going around the Lodge and seeing the lake always on your side is a very nice feeling though

Legacy Limits trail is an easy 1.3 mile loop trail at Lanier Islands in Buford, GA. The trails offers great views of the lake and very well constructed stairs and board walk crossings over difficult drainage areas.
