some parts are kinda steep and really rocky for my younger kids (2 and 5) but we made it through. Great scenery, always one of our favorite places to hike when the weather cools off a bit

Hit the trail right at 9 barely found a parking spot and the trail was fairly crowded. On the way down we got the the bottom at 10 and there was about 80 people walking towards us entering the trail. Hit it early! Trail was in good shape though!

love hiking this trail. it is very shaded until you reach the top and parking can be tricky since there are not a lot of spaces near the visitors center.

HikingGreat!

Beautiful hike. I'm a little overweight and the elevation is more than I usually do, but it was very manageable and worth the hike. Saw several other hikers, but I wouldn't say it was crowded.

Fun trail! Difficult for this Florida girl who’s used to flat lands, but definitely worth it! Pretty much the entire hike is upwards, no flat areas. Would definitely hike it again.

Great views of the city from a couple of places in the trail. Lots of elevation (my step counter had me at 39 flights of stairs at the top). $5 parking which you can pay online in advance - Visitor Center did not take cash for parking payment.

This trail is great for beginner hikers. It is well populated, kid- and dog-friendly. It is not flat. It is pretty steep and you may get out of breath. However, it is not long and there's a great view at the top with room for picnics and benches to rest.

Good cardio climb for someone who hasn’t hiked in a while or for younger kids. This time of year, there are many leaves on stones which leads to some slipperiness. Wear appropriate footwear. Beautiful, well maintained and marked trail with many historical plaques along the way.

Pretty much an incline all the way up. Did this on Friday the 13th during the harvest moon. Hoped to see the moon but it stormed on us as we trekked quickly back down the mtn.
