This a great moderate hike and possibly easy for those looking for this sort of distance. The mountain ( and I use that term loosely) is full of switchbacks making it a short moderate climb and the back side return is hilly fire roads. The only downfall is the amount of people, tons of traffic at the start and finish.

Good hike, if you have knee or ankle issues, walking poles will help. Great view from the top.

Very easy hike for most of the way, a little challenging at top. Would rate this hike moderate not hard. But nice trail.

Having this Mountain so close by I love the little Kennesaw trail leading to the loop trail. Some difficult sections of rock and sand/mud depending on when you hike, it's a mid strenuous trek but worth it. Bring water*

I did not go all the way through but the civil ear leftovers up to the top on the trails was fun sightings.

Great hike - we took the trails for around 11 miles, but many shorter options are available. Saw 7 deer that were used to seeing hikers. Cool historical monuments and several Civil War battlefields, tomb of an unknown soldier, etc. In total, it took us just under 5 hours with 3 or 4 5 minute breaks on some of the tougher hills. First 8 miles were fairly easy (starting off the loop going behind the visitors center and ending at Kennesaw mtn). Last 3 miles made us understand why this trail was rated as hard. Next time we will likely do the loop in reverse and do the harder climbing first.

Parking at the trailhead can be difficult depending on time of day.

Really great hike but would not consider it especially hard, more moderate. The mountain portion is a little challenging, but the rest of the trails are super easy.

Historic places always get me jazzed. While I prefer hiking near water, this trail is worth the trek.

Hiked 4th of July. Wonderful hike! Saw 4 deer.

Lots of switchbacks and gravel on the head of the trail as it slopes downward (this is coming from the Kennesaw MT trail heading across the paved road). Great trail, I frequently hike this (close proximity to home 3 miles). Nice day hike with some uphill challenges and some great variety, of woods and rock.

This trail is only "hard" if you desire to go to the top of the mountain. There are multiple trails that qualify in all categories here.

Never tired of a good climb. Stay on the trail for the best cardio not the road. Saw a deer today.

This place is packed on just about every Saturday and Sunday. Has a great hiking trail that runs on both the big & little mountains. Watch for dog
