Really enjoyed this trail. However, I feel like adding a water fountain at the top would be beneficial. We ran out of water and had to continue without. It ended up raining on us but it still was a beautiful hike!

Easy hike both ways with an amazing view at the top. Took my dog who found the gravel a little rough on his paws but otherwise we kept a pretty good pace. Took 55 minutes to get to the top, we stayed there about 30 minutes. Breath taking view, great rest rooms, lots of places to picnic and swings of all things! Great place to hike if your not looking for something too challenging

Steady upward grade to the top for 2.4 miles, which took about one hour. Trail is a road that is closed to vehicular traffic. At the top is a beautiful home, tower, and garden - which was built in 1922 as a gift from students to Martha Berry (Berry College).

Beautiful trail! Located pretty deep into the Berry College campus, i parked by an outdoor covered basketball court located along the Frisbee Golf course. The lot next to the trail head says its for Berry College students and faculty, of which I am neither. Its pretty relentlessly uphill, but the hard-packed dirt/gravel is a well maintained trail climbing up to the beautiful House of Dreams. The trail itself may be a bit monotonous, but I found the views on either side of the trail to be beautiful especially with all the fall colors. Upon making it to the top, there is a single track bike trail (entrance to trial is marked, but no other part of the trail has markings). This trail is EPIC and crazy and challenging and seemed to go on for a good bit. I turned around a little after a mile from the House of Dreams because I was worried about getting lost in a new trail, but if you're looking for a beautiful hilly run or challenging hike, House of Dreams is worth the trek. And I highly recommend exploring the bike trail.

Follow the access road up and takes one of the bike or running trails down to a moderate hike. Family friendly and shaded to the top. Views are terrific.

Whereas it is like hiking a very long, gravel driveway, there are nothing but beautiful views along the way. The last slope up is a killer, so you really work for the top. Definitely enjoyed lounging in the hammock and playing on the swings once we got up there. Bring some snacks and hangout for a bit when you get to the house of dreams, it's absolutely a destination hike.

The views at the top are really cool. It is relaxing and manicured. We hung out up there for a couple of hours just relaxing. The “trail” is really just a gravel road. If not for the destination, I’d rate this trail lower. The top makes it worth enduring hiking on what is basically a gravel driveway. If you’re at Winshape, this is a must do if you can work it in.

One of Rome's true treasures. This is located on the world's largest college campus. There are many other trails on the property but this one has a spectacular surprise at the top as well great views.

Always enjoy this one. Gravel trail the whole way up. Beautiful views from the top. Hammock and swings to relax on and enjoy the mountains! Don’t forget to stop over at the old mill before hopping back in the car. Took our pup and she really enjoyed it ! 4 stars bc of gravel. Wish they would have left it dirt.

easy, nice hike. the views at the top are worth it. we went with little kids and they did ok. give yourself extra time to hang out at the house of dreams at the end. I would not use a stroller. too much gravel and you would be pushing forever. we used a child carrying backpack and it worked great. took us one hour to get down walking at a normal brisk pace. took maybe 1.5 hours to get up.

Hike was wonderful. 4.8 miles total hike. Around 740ft in elevation. Graveled trail. Gravel sizes ranged from dime size to baseball size. There are some areas on the trail that are dirt flat. My wife and I also brought our three small children. Ages 8,3 and 10 months. We used our Graco stroller. We strongly suggest to use strollers with bigger rubber wheels, to help maneuver through gravel. Getting to the House of Dreams is very rewarding for this hike. The tower, house, pergola and garden, compliments the beautiful views. To beat the dark on the trail, try to leave the House of Dreams at sunset. We left a little later around 7:30, so the trail lighting was getting tough with 3/4 to half a mile left to go coming off the trail. Love the hike, love the nature, LOVED the views but most importantly LOVED being with my family on this trail.

This trail is mainly an access road to the House of Dreams on the Berry College campus. It is gravel covered and has very little scenery until you reach the top. After reaching the top you will be invited by the beautiful Martha Berry's House of Dreams. The spring time is your best bet, due to the plants and flowers planted on site. Enjoy.
