Trail goes along water and lots of small falls the entire way. Some primitive camping sites off the trail. Went on a Tuesday afternoon and only passed one family on the trail. Really awesome at the end, dogs had a little fun in the water. Cool perch atop the falls, too!

Beautiful falls...trail was muddy and slippery in places. Might want to bring a stick along. Will definitely be doing this trail again.

It was a very nice, short hike by the creek. There were a lot of rocks and roots so you need to watch your step.

Easy walk with kids, minimum elevation gain, and there is a nice swimming hole at the end . Bring water shoes as the water is very rocky and difficult to walk on with bare feet.

Beautiful short hike. It runs above a beautiful creek. The sounds and sights of the water go with you. Lovely. Others have mentioned the roots and rocks. It is very manageable but something to know about. Ends at a nice waterfall and swimming hole.

This trail was a great hike for the family. It was not a smooth trail but not difficult to walk. The falls had a nice wading pool at the bottom to help cool off.

Gorgeous trail. I would not classify it as “easy.” There are many rocks and roots and sometimes the rocks are wet, making them slippery. But it is a lovely hike as long as you can handle it physically. There are several waterfalls along the way and the big one at the end is impressive!

Awesome trail. 2 miles round trip. Rocks and tree roots in some areas. But the rocks are not loose rocks. If you have some level of balance and/or footing challenges... this could be a tad challenging. Otherwise ... lots of ferns, side spots adjacent to main trail, and various cascading falls along the way.

Great trail. We were parked across the street at Moccasin Creek State Park. My family and I walked to trailhead (.6 mi) then did the trail. Really enjoyed the hike with plenty of waterfalls, streams, and vegetation. My daughters are 10 and 5 (almost 6) and they did great. At the end of the trail there is a great swimming area with the main waterfall. We took some snacks and drinks had a picnic and a swim. Water is cold, but feels great.

Beautiful hike! Many great picture spots along the way. Trail was muddy in spots, follows the river, lots of waterfalls along the way. Hiked it with 2 dogs. Small bridge that crosses over some falls. Great waterfall at the end with swimming.

I really enjoyed this hike, we had our kids with us. 2 yrs, 3yrs, and 8 and was no issue for them. wide paths most of the way. Waterfall at the end was beautiful but crowded. we opted to head down stream and let the kids play in an area less crowded.

Had a lot of fun. You follow the creek up a well defined trail. The incline is very light for the most part with only a few steep sections. I took my dog and he was able to get by just fine, so I’d consider it pet friendly. If you’re looking for a not too intense hike to a beautiful waterfall I’d definitely recommend this one.

nice shaded trail. you walk with the creek most of the way. apply bug spray. be prepared to drive on gravel road for half mile to get to the trailhead. there is a swimming hole near the falls. the waterfall is not too tall, may be 8ft, but good hike. not recommended for little kids and after rain
