This is a nice park with well maintained trails. I see reviews knocking the trails for lack of views, no variety of wildlife, and noise from airplanes. Understand this is a county park. In comparison to other county parks it is huge at 1960 acres. For comparison, the closest state park, Fort Yargo, is 1816 acres. Yargo has a lake, and a campground. Black Rock Mountain State Park, close to the start of the Appalachian Trail, is only 1743 acres. Try to appreciate that despite their hunger to enable suburban sprawl, Gwinnett County set aside this much space.

Love this place for mtn biking. Some fast runs and some fun drops. Noting to crazy. It’s just fun

My wife and I did the walking trail and loved it! The trails make maximum use of ridge lines avoiding overly steep climbs.

Not the most scenic hike. Very nice 10 mile path through the woods. Well marked with many different trails to follow. Can easily be a short hike of only a couple miles or a long hike of ten or more miles. Lots of deer and birds. Very shaded and peaceful.

Friends and I bring our horses to this trail regularly, and even after the hurricane damage it's wonderful. The trails are a little more rocky since Irma came through, but still easy enough for my 23 year old to handle in the autumn. Water is available to hose your horse off and fill water buckets!
The porta potty DOESN'T often have tp though, so bring your own.

So much to do at this park. You can hike, you can walk, run, mountain bike, even horse ride. And you have miles and miles to do it all. Love it

Great for the family

I hike this awesome park at least 5 days a week and it never gets tiring because I mix up the trail and the seasons make it change so much. Everyone has done a great job keeping the back trails clean. I enjoy taking little breaks at the creeks or on top of the knolls where I hang my hammock and relax for a lunch break. My hikes range from 3 miles to 16 mile days out here it varies according to the work out I want for the day or if I am training for an upcoming backpack trip.

We did about half of the 11 miles and loved it! I would label it closer or moderate because it is very uneven. but the scenery is gorgeous! definitely going to go back and do all of it soon!!

Nice local park with very nice mountain biking trails. Nothing too technical. An overall nice ride through he woods. Have come up on deer crossing the trail a couple times.

A county park with impressively maintained trails. The hiking trails are unblazed, but the maintenance on the pathways always made it pretty obvious where the next step would be. However, this is a particularly boring forest with almost no impressive views, wildlife or features. That said, if you're looking for a short drive to a moderate length hiking trail, this is a good spot.

I love this park. I put in over a hundred miles a month here and always manage to never hike the same hike. A great park close to home to prepare me for long distance hiking

I mapped 6 miles and the hiking trail was boring. Took my dog and he was even bored. Nothing special, just an easy walk through the woods with the loud noise of planes flying low. Wasn't impressed and if I want to hike 6 miles, I'm gonna go somewhere with a view.

Awesome trail.Entry level to intermediate with a few drops and downhill once you pass the creek,Its got map signs all over with help locators, although the maps don't show true north so you can get lost and the giant you are here Star can get confusing.Nice bike wash, pretty scenery and lots of riders most of the time.

Good trail, well marked. Interesting coming to an intersection with signs saying illustrating horses take one path, hikers another and bikers a 3rd.

Had sooo much fun on this trail today, never got too winded but also had some excitement. Not quite ready for the jumps but the trip down the granite was a blast. 8 miles went by quick,

I run quite a bit here but I'm not a huge fan. I find myself bored halfway through my runs. It's a nice park and the trails are maintained nicely; I just can't seem enjoy my runs here anymore. However, I still recommend this park for both running and MTb.

Harbins Park has some of the best Mountain Bike Trails in the local area. There is an relatively easy 1 mil loop then addition two other loops on the same side of the park that add in an additional 7 0r 8 miles. However, if you cross over the parking lot there a series of loops intersecting loops where you can easily rack up and additional 12 - 13 miles. There is also a small down hill BMX/Dirt jump run which is alot of fun.

I ride these trails as often as I can

Harbins has a very nice hiking trail. It is about 4.5 miles long. It goes up and down but is easy for the most part. It does take a 0.5 mile paved access road to get to the start and then a wooded area that meanders for the hiking trail. It would be considered easy for a seasoned hiker, moderate for someone starting out. To get in and out, you walk about 5.5 miles. It does parallel portions of a horse trail and you could lengthen the walk by using that portion. Other than that, it does have a paved walk about 3 miles and you have options to decide what to walk on. Overall, excellent park.
