Great Fall hike (except for the naked trees). Easy hike for families and us senior folks.
Highly trafficked loop lots of dogs too. Views of the lake entire loop. Need to pay $5 to enter the park so make sure you have some cash on hand
easy around the lake. the big rock loop was very navigable and good footing, but steep in places.
It’s by no means backcountry, but it’s a pleasant stroll around the water. Crowds at the swimming and camping area are to be expected.
We visited on 10/14/19. The trail was well-maintained, wide, and easy to follow. It's mostly crushed gravel--very few roots/rocks/impediments. Of all the trails we did at Fort Mountain Park, this was definitely the easiest. The lake is nice, and there are multiple places around it to have a picnic.
Pretty walk around the lake - very flat. Crowded by the beach but very pretty around the back side. Easy walk if you just want to get outside for a bit
