Great place to go for a walk, take the pups for a walk, or just hang out. It's usually a good idea to see if there are any events going on. Some of them can make the park a pretty crowded place. Plenty of places nearby to eat, quite a few are dog friendly. Will make for a nice morning, afternoon, or evening.

Forsyth Park is the largest park in the Savannah historic district, and it is a 1 mile loop around the perimeter. Great for walking or running. Very picturesque, lots of trees for shade during the heat of the summer.

The lap around the park is flat and exactly 1 mile. The mileage is inaccurate in app. Lots of shade.

Great little city park, probably the best in Savannah. Lots of history here and even a nice little cafe to eat lunch at. Personally I enjoy packing a lunch and sitting in the grassy field and watching the field sports or a band playing in the band shell. On Saturdays there is a great little farmers market that shows up here. Can forget about the iconic fountain, a must see. Overall, great urban square in the heart of the hostess city of the South.
