Walked about 10 miles of the trail which handrails the Chat River. Great views and access to the water and the main down town strip.

Enjoyed this ride. Only passed 4 other cyclists on this 20 mile ride. Not many climbs it's an easy ride with a fair amount of canope cover which helped with the heat. One note, the directions link here puts you at the Fort Benning Crmetary about 1 mile into the trail from the south. If starting from the south, start at the Infantry Museum.

I use the Rotary park boat ramp for access and have had very few issues to or from the river. It's a public ramp so no fee and the bulldog bait shop is right by the ramp and park.

The bike ride is amazing. Oxbow meadows is beautiful. Make it into Fort Benning to see even more scenery. Make sure you wear a helmet, police officers riding by will check and say something.

While visiting family in Georgia, we found this trail. We didn't have time to walk the whole thing, but we did enjoy sections of it. We came back a few times, to walk, jog and stroll along the Chattahoochee River and learn about some of Columbus Georgia's history.

Awesome trail next to the river. Wide, paved and well maintained. Very enjoyable ride with some hills but not over demanding. Plenty of stopping points for sightseeing and historical information. The north portion does go through an economically challenged area. There are several trailheads and maps all along the route. The downtown portion is busy with walkers and kids but still enjoyable. Plan to go back again to explore more.

This is a great way for cyclists to have a safe place to ride and great views along the way. While most of the ride is easy, there are still a few hills to give you a workout

I did this trail with a bike and had a blast. Oxbow meadows makes the whole trip worth it.
