A nice flat run through high grass on wide gravel trails. In summer, two places to see the river. If you start near the boat launch area, you can finish there for a cold swim.

The trail was pretty well maintained and there are a lot of tees for disc golf. There aren’t many good points to view/go on the waterfront, but there is a nice dock/entry big enough for a boat. It’s behind a housing complex, but it did a good job of winding in and out of the green so I forgot I was even around homes. Some of the trails led to dead ends or grassy/overgrown patches, but it was pretty easy to stay on trail and walk/run for me! A nice quick get away in Suwanee.

I used to absolutely love this place. I hiked here for 2 years with my dog and it was very secluded, peaceful, and beautiful for the longest time. Someone decided to turn the entire place into a DISC GOLF COURSE which has attracted hundreds of people here and now the gravel road is full of potholes, people leave their trash everywhere, and it is no longer a nice quiet place :/ there are concrete slabs and disc golf things set up everywhere, even on the remote side trail that runs through the forest that used to be so gorgeous (now it has a concrete slab directly in the middle of it).

Awesome walk around open fields. Perfect for all seasons!

Would not call this a hiking trail. Great for running and biking. Very flat meandering trail through fields and some trees. The homes around it are lucky to have this trail in their back yard.

This park just expanded its trail to 5K, added nice new restrooms near the boat launch and pavilions, expanded its orchard, and is making improvements such as fencing, etc. Nice upgrades!

Not just an oval, but it does have a track feel to it given its flatness. Good on the knees with it being so soft.

Flat gravel circle. Nothing to see really. Good to walk a dog if close.

Chattahoochee Pointe Park is in an affluent neighborhood of Suwanee, GA. Long time residents may remember that the park originally came from land parceled off from a horse farm. While driving down to the road to the park back then, horses would hang their heads over the fence and gaze at the car with curiosity. There was an old chimney ruin and a nearby well that was surrounded with hog wire; its location marked with an American flag. It was idyllic. Alas, the remaining horse farm property was sold to developers. Now you drive through a subdivision of upscale homes before reaching the park. The pond is now the subdivision's retention pond. The chimney ruins and well were bulldozed to make way for McMansions. Its a small wonder that we even have a park along this prime piece of river real estate and have the foresight of county planners to thank. If you can get past the idea that there are these large homes around the park, you can still enjoy the trail. What's nice is that you don't have to travel far to enjoy the river if you live in the area. The trail is a soft surface loop that follows along the Chattahoochee River. There are also footpaths that run off the main trail. Caution should be used when using these footpaths however as many of them run along the steep banks of the Chattahoochee and its confluence, Dick Creek. Several creeks drain through the park and are visited by deer. There are toilets available but they are an improved chemical type. The trail is well maintained and usage is light. However, Forsyth County schools run X-country track meets here. When they do, upwards of 1000 people may be here, and there is only one access road. UPDATE: On February 10, 2017, Forsyth County officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony for improvements to Chattahoochee Pointe Park, which recently added more than 20 acres to the grounds (now 119 acres), built a restroom facility, and extended the park’s running trail to 3.1 miles for 5K races.
