This was an urban hike through Freedom Park on the PATH trail, by the edge of Candler Park, over Lullwater Creek, and then through Olmstead’s linear parks: Shadyside, Oak Grove, Dellwood, and Virgilee. Hikers without dogs could detour into Fernbank or the Frazer Center’s Cator Woolford Gardens at the turn-around point (around the 2 mile mark).
