Did this hike as an afterthought following a quick hike from Woody Gap to Big Cedar Mountain and back. It's a very rocky service road that has seen better days, and quite steep in some areas. At the top you are rewarded with a great panoramic view. There is also an old fire tower that has been converted into what appears to be a ham relay station based on the numbers and types of antennas. There is a fence, so you won't have access to the actual tower.

You have to park at Woody Gap and then walk north about 150 yards along the side of the road to access the trail. Be careful!
