Decent day hike - the view from the fire tower at Rabun Bald is awesome. Some decent ascents but never overly burdensome - ample water along the way too.

Summer time rains left some portions highly overgrown, it’s not a highly travelled trail (which was wonderful - as much as I love the AT it’s a busy place these days).

I can imagine the views on the way up are quite spectacular in late fall - summer time was lush and quiet.

The road in from warwoman rd had a fair bit of ruts and washout 4WD highly recommended.

Wonderful hike from Wilson Gap. Had the trail all to ourselves. Tons of leaf litter which made seeing rocks a bit tough. At higher elevations the leafs have fallen which made for great views of the surrounding mountains. Getting through Warwoman WMA on the forest service roads was a bit tough. Glad we had a 4 wheel drive truck. All in all, a great hike!
