One thing I hate about this app is that it does not have all the entrances to the canal there are multiple to include lake Olmstead and Eisenhower Park. Also along the trail you can find bike trails that lead to the Savannah for some nice fishing and/or relaxing. The main reason it gets 5 stars is because there’s a lot to do if you can find it. even a rope swing near Rae’s Aqua duct

absolutely a beautiful walk. It is a great place to take a relaxing stroll and very easy for kids. the only downside is that it's pretty busy.

This is a great trail, though weekends see an uptick in traffic. It's amazingly quiet and peaceful, given how close it is to downtown (and how close it gets at one point to Riverwatch Parkway). Very picturesque with great river and canal views throughout the trail.

Surface is mainly hardpack and a pretty smooth ride. Trail is wide and flat. Fine for most bikes (hybrid, cruiser, mountain). There are also a couple sections of blacktop trail. Fun to watch the kayakers floating down the canal in the summer. Trail is partly shaded.

I enjoyed the natural sentry which kept me forming thing about how many miles of walking I did.

Great trail. Went on a weekday, so minimal foot/bike traffic. Probably heavily trafficked on weekends. Trail follows the canal. Scenic. Restrooms available.
