Appalachian Trail: Unicoi Gap to Dicks Creek Gap is a 5.1 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Helen, Georgia that offers the chance to see wildlife and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, camping, and backpacking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Beautiful shaded hike with a bit of a challenging initial incline, but to a nice view! There were lots of AT thru hikers in April! We decided to take the Rocky Mountain trail back and got a bit confused finding it- it is the gravel forest service road to your left at first, then veers off to the left up into the mountain just a few minutes in- just follow the blue stripes rather than the white AT marks. We kept going along the AT for a bit up tray Mountain and that was also absolutely beautiful! I'd recommend this in a heartbeat

Awesome hike! I made it an overnight trek and stopped at Addis Gap. This hike will put you a little more than fourteen miles south of the GA/NC line.
