Took our 3 young kids (5, 2.5, and 1) up the trail to the falls. They loved it. Back at the bottom we played in the creek that feeds into the reflecting pool. Cool water felt awesome on a warm day. We found crayfish, millipedes, butterflies. Definitely worth the trip!

We started at the lower lot, hiked a short way thru some decent and scenic paths. The terrain then turns to paved trails, which leads to stairs. We did the ~150 stairs to a super photo spot, and continued on the 425 stairs marked strenuous. Totally worth it to reach the top of the falls. Restrooms up there are open but concessions are closed. Enjoy!

This was one of our toughest hikes but it was well worth it. Be aware that the trek up the falls is no joke but fun. We parked at the top of the falls and walked down the left side. Then once at the bottom we walked up the right side. Not only was it fun but the sights were amazing

Stairs.Stairs.Stairs.Stairs.Stairs.Stairs.Stairs. The falls are amazing, great photo spot though! This started us from the top and then we had to climb Beck up the STAIRS. If I were to do it again I'd probably start at the lower lot to get the hard part over first! That's just me though. Truly cool area to visit.

Was originally going for the Len Foote Hike Inn trail but it is currently closed to foot traffic. We brought our dog along for that one but instead ended up doing the stairs at the falls. The stairs are rough for dogs to do for sure, not as bad going up as it is going down -- their nails can get caught if they aren't careful. Ended up carrying my puppy down several flights. Otherwise a great trail, awesome views of the falls and mountains, and great stairstepping cardio. Be warned if you have a big dog though, some paths are narrow and going both ways!

Very accessible and well-maintained trail. The first half of the trail is an uphill path along the creek, but the second half has you climbing metal-grated steps. It sounds intimidating but it’s not bad - there are plenty of benches and landings for breaks. You can take an easy drive to the top of the falls if you don’t want to hike it. We thought the best view was about midway up the steps. Great for a short outing!

A great easy "hike" up many steps. I think it was 720 steps to the top of the falls. Very beautiful falls and would recommend for anyone. You don't have to hike all the steps to take in the beauty! Loved it.

Easy to moderate loop trail (approaching from trail base at the parking lot) suggested up East Ridge behind the visitor’s center up to the falls and descending stairs on the West Ridge back to the center. A few good over looks near the top. Good canopy for shade. Well marked and maintained trails. Loop is about 3 mi. at a 1.8 mph to be completed 1.5 hrs. Should allow for 2 hrs. at least to complete with breaks and pictures. Easily a half day excursion if you take your time!

We started from the top at the lodge. Going down was still tricky, but the stairs are metal with solid footing the whole way. The view at the bottom is amazing. The way back up is pure strenuous. But there are benches to rest on. Us senior citizens made it back! NOTE: I would not take a dog—the metal grated steps appeared to hurt their feet and it was metal the whole way.

I would recommend this trail for families looking for a short hike with slightly more difficulty than the easy level hike here.

Start from the bottom and make your way to the top. Stop as many times as you need to and enjoy this beautiful place. Great way to start any hike.

Stunning! Easy walk for all ages with ADA access for wheelchairs or strollers. Amazing Photography without having to climb any stairs. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS simple walk to the most amazing waterfall in the Eastern US!

This is a hard climb if you want to be realistic. Seasoned or not, at only 0.3 miles in the incline can wind you. However there are plenty of rest areas along the 604 steps to the top. Once there though if you enjoy waterfalls.... is worth the climb.

Hard but worth it, I had a quick pace an managed to complete it in just under 6 hours. started early 7am done @ 1PM . trail is well maintained, nice people. trail warns people that it takes 6 hours one way to get to the top of Springer mountain. with that said don't try to kill yourself. I took one break at the top for about 10 minutes an headed back down. I got too see 3 bushy tail squirrels an different types of centipede and two black bears, an big black snake.

425 steps down to the walk across the middle of the falls. Easy going down. Excruciating coming back up but there are plenty of benches to sit and the climb goes in sections.

Lots of stairs but well worth it! Rocky coming down for a bit til you get to the trail path

This place is amazing! Seeing the falls at different levels as you climb the steps was a real treat. The path down is great as well. Nice views with rocky terrain. Definitely coming spend more time here.

Nice small hike.....lots of steps.

Windy but sunny Sunday at Amicalola. Did the loop trail and the bottom of the falls, top of the falls and finished on the West trail via creek and Mountain Laurel trails back to the Visitors Center. Beautiful warm day to hike.

Quick, very quick hike. Pretty waterfall and view

It was a pretty neat trail. Climbing the steps to the top of the waterfall was the most challenging part. There were plenty of spots to take breaks if needed. Very pretty!

There isn't better waterfall views than this! This .3 mile 'hike' is a paved stroll with easy access to the falls overlook. I think the longer option of going up the stairs would have been a more exciting trail, but this is a perfect option with children or a wheelchair.

This is an easy alternative trail to the falls. It was short and easier for our elderly dog.
