This is a track from the bottom of amicacola falls to the top. From there up to the AT approach trail and back. Fun loop for all. Well marked and the falls are beautiful!

My 3 year old and I had a great time on the falls trail! He made it down ALL of the steps with no problems, then he zoomed his way back up, almost faster than I could! This definitely isn’t his first trail experience, however I really don’t think this one would be too difficult for most physically active kids. All the way down to the bottom and then back up took all of an hour and a half. It was beautiful and we had a great time!!

Awesome trail, even in winter with temps below freezing! Beautiful views! Falls are THE BEST!

The stairs are a great workout. You can either start at the bottom and do the full 500+ stairs, or start near the middle, and do the upper 300-ish stairs. This is a nice loop for a casual day-hike. The lodge is an easy jaunt off a side-trail if you want to catch a fancy lunch.

Great hike. The stairs are a bit of a challenge. Luckily there are rest places throughout the climb. Great view from top of Falls. Taking the East Ridge Trail back down had wonderful views at the beginning. Real rocky at top but smooths out after fallen tree.

Always pretty crowded, but it is the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi. Paved easy trail going up, a lot of stairs, worth the view!

Hiked up the trail/stairs to the top of the falls with my almost 9-year-old. We brought lunch and relaxed on a bench at the top. The staff at the visitor center was very helpful to show us which way to go. There are landing areas with benches to rest as you go up the steps. This saved the day, because my son (OK, me too) needed a few breaks on the way up. We came down the east side trail, where there were a few nice mountain views.

Great begin to a springer mountain hike. Can't wait for more. Pretty easy, a lot of people so be prepared for that.

The rain couldn't keep me from visiting this amazing park. Climbing several steps to get an up close and personal view of the falls was well worth the over 30 year old knee pain afterwards. I highly recommend this Park if you're in the Dawsonville area!

Beautiful waterfall. Do the 2mile trail, that way if you don't want to go to the top of the falls you don't have walk up 700 steps.

Best waterfall hike in the area. Pretty moderate getting to the base of the falls but you can really burn some calories taking the strenuous hike to the top!

One of the most beautiful hikes I've been on.
