Great day. well kept. There is a small island in the middle, great place to stop and have lunch.
This trail is beautiful. Be warned that it's muddy if you go after it's rained. It stormed the night before, so there were some muddy areas and large puddles. There was only one puddle that we had to walk through some brush to get around. It was in the 60s and there were no bugs. My dog was in heaven. There was one area with tons if birds and we saw a blue heron. Still not positive if you're allowed to hike on the bike trail. Signs said bikers must yield to hikers, but a few bikers were very upset with us being on the trail even though we moved to the side for them. The bike area is very nice because there is a change in elevation almost like you're not in Florida.
