The short hike starts with a comfortable walk down to the spring and then along the boardwalk thru the shady vegetation of a Hydric Hammock. It ends on one of the park's upland dirt hiking trails heading back to the starting point. Local wildlife includes raccoon, deer, and boar. There have also been sighting of bear and alligators bear the springs.

Nice way to introduce yourself to Florida’s state parks. There wasn’t a ton of wildlife but definitely some and it wasn’t too busy when I went in February.
