The trip is actually around 4 miles and a lot of areas are in the bright sun no shade.

This guide is a great way to explore Palm Beach. The historical landmark of the whole tour is Flagler Mansion, and they have an excellent audio tour there--expect to stay 1-2 hours at least.

I didn't have much time to relax at the beach because I needed to be in Miami a few hours later but it was pretty fun to walk down Worth Ave and look at all the very expensive stores.
