Trail is a mix of heavily wooded areas, and also some very open areas. Very hot on a summer day. Bring at least several bottles of water.

It was a nice trail and I will use it for training for my backpacking trip in June. The back was muddy and there were quite a few bug in the back.

I loved it. It has a variety of landscapes you go thru. For a 12.5 inner city hike its one of the nicest ive ever been on. Will be using it to train for thru hike in November. We completed this in 4 hours even.

Typical Florida hike, flat, no real scenery, ugly. But, we’ll marked, no bugs in January, didn’t see anyone else. Trail was dry. Some burn areas from controlled burns.

I love this trail. Today though it was VERY muddy in the back area. Lots of stagnant water on the trail.

I started at the campground and only went to post 14 before turning around and heading back. I really enjoy these trails.

LOTS of mosquitos- walking along the water the whole way. Ticks COVERING my friends long-haired dog. Possible venomous snake/water snake sighting in a sunny patch on the trail. Got a picture for Id but haven’t looked at it yet. Beautiful trail but I don’t feel like I enjoyed the scenery because I was so worried about looking for snakes.

Really enjoyed this part of the trail. I forgot to turn off the tracking when we got back to our campsite, Camp Cozy. We did a “there-and-back”, and this is just the “back” part of it, which did include a bit of a lengthy stop for lunch. Can be wet seasonally. Wear hiking sandals and plan to get your feet wet/muddy.

Others than the rude entry ranger, this hike exceeded my expectations. I saw deer and one snake. I only saw others on the trail in the first mile going to a natural spring and fishing near a small pond. There were some muddy spots but could easily avoid or go through with no issues. One tick and no bug issues. There a good mix of sun and shade. It was a great time.

Was a good trail but some bugs and overgrown in some areas. Can tell it’s not traveled too much which is cool.
