HikingNo shade

Nice and quick little flatland trail. Easy to double or triple up on to explore every byway and alternate trail. Scenery isn’t much to send home about, mostly high grasses and interspersed pines or oaks. Not much in the way of shade, so either wait for a cool, cloudy day or prepare to bring some sunscreen and water.

Hiking

Easy trail for hiking/walking. You can totally take some mountain bikes on the trail as well. Beautiful old trees. On the easy loop there are spots with picnic tables. And there is a restroom on the hike. We saw lots of Monarch butterflies and lots of different birds. We had fun in the fishing areas as well They just had done a controlled burn and some of the areas.

Dog friendly and has an equine trail too. Limited shade but nice hike along beautiful oaks and the lake. There's a canoe launch and two piers as well. Plenty of benches along the hike for breaks or spotting eagles and appreciating the scenery.
