Great spot. Floods out pretty often though so call ahead. San felasco is nearby though!

Trail itself is really short and floods out after even a moderate rain from the previous day. The sinkhole boardwalk is still closed and you can barely see down into it from the trail. I'd skip this place for now.

Just went, it's a beautiful place but yes unfortunately the sink hole is still closed and I was told will remain closed for up to 4 more months.

A must see (go down to the sinkhole, trail is alright).

The trail itself is a simple flat loop through the woods around a sinkhole, but the sinkhole is stunning and a must-see for visitors to North Florida. Currently (after the high waters that filled several feet at the bottom of the sinkhole in summer 2017), the walk down is closed as the boardwalk is being repaired and perhaps re-routed a bit, so call the park to find out the status of the trails and boardwalk to avoid disappointment. (Volunteers hauled several vertical feet of wood from the boardwalk out of the sinkhole in December to help the park to move forward with new plans for the boardwalk).

Very easy and dear to my heart, my moon and stars took me here.

Definitely worth the visit if you're in the area. Short enough hike so not something to pass up if you are just passing through.

A must see in Gainesville, it's a fascinating place! However, the inherent heat and mosquitoes take it down a knotch. Be prepared with water and lots of bugspray!

99 stairs down into a sinkhole, then back up. Lots of fun for the whole family.

Nice little walk. There are a lot of stairs but the walk into the sinkhole is a unique experience. There is also a serene trail around the top of the sinkhole that is very picturesque.

My dog and I are weekly visitors, we love it! The sink hole makes it unique. She does the stairs much better than I do. The rangers are friendly and keep the park clean and safe. It's a great place to get exercise, have lunch, and take in the Florida scenery. Bristol likes meeting other dogs and people too.

Beautiful! Great short hike doing the nature trail and awesome seeing the sinkhole, I had no idea this was here. Also there is a $4 per vehicle fee at the parking lot that runs on the honor system, which we didn't know about.

Good family nature trail. Lots of stairs down the sink hole so may not be the best for small children though. Flat nature hike around the sink hole area though.

Stairs that people work out on. Beautiful small water falls leading to the sink hole. The info desk is really friendly and helpful!

Great workout spot, surrounded by nature. Staircase that goes to the bottom of the sinkhole. Coming back up is tough.

Not much to see. The stairs into the sinkhole are well spaced, not to far apart. Makes for an easier climb up.

Very short loop. Stairway down to sink hole. Seem to be more of a fitness interest with visitors going up and down the stairs several times.

Short loop not far from residential areas. Not too much as far as wildlife is concerned. Fairly quiet as most visitors seem purely interested in the stairway into the sinkhole.

Great place of history and beauty. If you go in the early morning many types of wildlife can be found. Suggest you bring mosquito repellent.

A geological gem, and a great place to duck out of the summer heat.
